Turkey á la King

4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup milk
1/4 cup dry sherry
1 1/2 cups leftover turkey, cubed

1. In a medium pot, melt butter and sauté celery 2-3 minutes
2. Add mushrooms and sauté 2-3 minutes
3. Add flour and seasonings; stir for 1 minute
4. Slowly add in broth and then milk; boil, stirring constantly until thickened (about 3-5 minutes)
5. Add turkey and sherry until heated through

Tip: You can also use cooked chicken instead of turkey. Serve over a bed of rice, toast points, biscuits or pasta.
